DTT HD Findings Presented Nov 21st
The four broadcaster involved in the DTT HD trial (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and FIve) will be presenting a range of findings from willingness to pay for HD services, desirable content and genres through to the technical challenges posed by the trial.
The four broadcasters have been running a joint technical trial to test the viability of HD broadcasts over DTT. This has been taking place since the beginning of June, with the help of a representative sample of over 400 viewers from the London area who had already bought HD screens.
Every evening they have been able to watch programmes from schedules put together by all four broadcasters. Their experience of the trial and the technical issues involved in broadcasting the HD signal are the subject of a report that will be available on the 21st.
