Virgin, ntl & Telewest form to make Virgin Media
ntl, Telewest and Virgin Mobile have unveiled the merged company’s future name and logo. The re-branded company will be called Virgin Media and launches in the first quarter of 2007.
Virgin Media will be able to offer a ‘quadplay’ of digital TV, broadband, mobile and home phone all for a monthly fee of around £40.
There doesn't seem to be any mention of HDTV within this offering and we're wondering if Telewest's fledgling HDTV VOD services will be allowed to quietly disappear under the 're-branding'.
