Oscars Go HD For First Time

Sky HD has announced that both the ceremony and red carpet love-in will be broadcast in high definition for the first time in the UK. The ceremony coverage will be live on Sky One HD on February 25th from 11pm with a two hour recap on the 26th with presenters Fearne Cotton and Claudia Winkelman

Here's a chance to spot who is having botox, hot sweats and a pimple out burst and who has had the plastic surgery and a mismatch of numbers in their age on IMDB and their passport.

Arts Alliance Orders Big For Digital Screens

AAM, Arts Alliance Network has orders up to 240 units of Doremi's DCP-2000 digital cinema servers for their Digital Screen Network.

The DSN is the world's first 2K network and will complete installation in late Spring this year. Doremi's server will be installed in all new sites and will be a replacement for the current system. (not mentioned in the release).

The DCP-2000 server features JPEG2000 compression, MPEG2 MXF playplac, 3D playback, CineLink II encryption and forensic watermarking.
