Codex/ArriRAW Combination Gaining Momentum

On the set of Extremely Loud and Incredibly CloseExtremely Loud and Incredibly Close, director Stephen Daldry’s film slated for a Christmas Day limited release was the first major studio production to shoot with the ARRI ALEXA camera in a Codex/ARRIRAW workflow. It was also the first digitally captured film for veteran cinematographer Chris Menges, ASC, BSC.

'Welcome To Leathermill' - shot on Arri's ALEXA camera

Russell England, Director: It is said that every director has a feature film script in his or her back pocket. I certainly had mine.  Written by Richard Davis, Leathermill had been re-drafted and tinkered with since I had bought the option, but it had also been through the wash a few times - set aside when I was busy with other things, then pulled-out again after a few pints or an idle moment.
